Institute of Applied Electronics Technology
The Institute of Applied Electronics Technology (AET) was developed as a transformation from the department of Industrial Education in August 2004. The AET offers master program, with its main goal targeted at training students to become qualified engineers in the field of electronics technologies. The AET currently focuses its research effort on the following three fields:
- System-on-Chip (SoC)
- Communication and Multimedia Network
- Intelligent Control
To provide a full range of research and training environment, the AET devotes to establish several laboratories: electronics, communication, image processing, multimedia network, E-learning, intelligent control, embedded system, wireless communications, and SoC fundamental laboratories. The research activity is centered on these laboratories and the ultimate goal is to develop key technology and drive the transfer of the developed high-tech skill into the industry. At present, the faculty of AET consists of 9 full-time professors, 7 adjunct professors, and one office staff. The long-term development plan is to form programs for undergraduate and Ph. D degree. |
